6 – Autumn Is Here

It's been a few weeks since I last wrote to you, so I thought I'd bring you up to date with what has been going on. The nights are drawing in and it is getting colder. I'm glad I've got my hoody, so that when I go out I can keep Warm.

But at least the days are still slightly warm and Leo and me can still play in the garden.

Linda has trimmed the hedges back with my help, so that she can keep an eye on me a lot easier, but it makes it harder for me to play hide and seek. But I do like trying to help in the garden.

Two things happened on Friday, Kiss came to stay for the weekend, and I had a bath and haircut. Leo was on guard duty at the front room window, and all of a sudden he started barking. As it wasn't a warning bark I paid no attention until the front door bell rang, and then it was a mad dashg for the door. We were pleased to see him.

I don't like having my face washed and I did make a fuss about it GGGRRR. But at least I can see because my eyes are no longer covered.

When we got up on Saturday,Kis said he would take us for a walk to the shops so that he could get his paper. It was warm enough, so that I didn't have to wear my hoody.

While we were out we met a couple of other dogs. One was a Great Dane. He looked really big to me, so I hid behind Kiss while Leo barked at him to stay away. Another that we met was a black Scottie, and he was quite friendly. The nicest was an elderly Shih Tzu called Eddie who was being wheeled abouti n a push   chair.

4) Baby Jess.

My fur is getting really light in colour compared to when I arrived here. Kiss says it is a shame as he love the colour it used to be. Linda says I'm going to be a real Blonde in a few month’s time.

Leo had quite a long chat with him, and the owner asked if Kiss wanted to swap us for him because we were so adorable. Kiss said his life wouldn't be worth living if he went back with-out us. George met us on the way back and took a picture of me and Leo.

Kiss had come over to see us because it was Linda's birthday on Saturday. she says she is 22! Chris took her out for a meal.

She did look beautiful in her new dress and shoes.

5. Out on the paper run.

And Kiss wore a jacket and white shirt and tie.

Very suave, sophisticated and debonair. George took a photo of them in their glad rags but neither of them will let me put the picture in, spoilsports.

Linda has ordered some Christmas cards for us to send out to our friends, so I'm going to have to sign them, making sure the ink doesn't get all over my fur.

I can now get up and down the stairs on my own, and I can jump off the sofa, if there is a cushion to soften my landing, but I can't jump up on to it yet. But I don't think it will be long before I can.

Anyway, that is about it for the time being. I will write again in a few weeks by which time it will be nearly Christmas.

Until then, have Fun. Love Jezabel Jess.
