While my main line stock is fairly large, I wanted some smaller freight locos to work the layout. I was browsing and found this one. A J36, in North British colours. The original is on display at Bowness having been sold by BR in 1967 after 76 years of service, some of it in France during the First World War. It was named Maude after Lieutenant General Sir Fredrick Stanley Maude, who had commanded the successful British forces in Mesopotamia until his death from cholera in 1917.It’s a Hornby TTS (Twin Track Sound) version.
