The LNER O2 Freight locomotive. The model is produced by Heljan. I wanted some steam era freight locomotives. The design was by Sir Nigel Gresley and dates back to 1917 when he was CME of the Great Northern Railway and 11 were built by them. After grouping when the GNR became part of the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), a further 56 were built with the final ones leaving the shop in 1943.
