A Lancashire and Yorkshire class 5 1F. 330 of these were built between 1889 and 1910 The Lancashire & Yorkshire were absorbed into the London Midland And Scottish Railway (LMS) in 1923. 110 were still in use in 1948 when the railways were nationalised.   I was looking for smaller freight locos. These were to run between Leoton & York, and Bonton and York as pick up goods. There might also be the occasional excursion to Bustham which was not capable of taking larger locos. This model fitted the bill nicely. The loco was DCC ready but used a 6 pin decoder. The only one in my collection so far to do so.
