The BR class 105 DMU. Introduced in 1956, they were used in the East Anglian area before the electrification of the suburban lines out of Kings Cross upon which they were used further out. They were used until 1988 whereupon they were scrapped.   This is a Bachmann model. I got it because one of my LMS twins had failed after less than 5 minutes of use and no replacement was available. Although only a 2 car unit, there is no electrical connection between the 2 halves so that a 2nd DCC decoder is required for the unmotorised trailer. To programme that, the decoder must first be placed in the powered car, the coding done and then moved into the non motorised trailer. Then the powered car can be coded using the same Address. Get it right and the lights come on correctly.
