A long day’s drive. From Silverplaner See we headed down the Inn Valley past the campsite at Zernez, then over the Albula Pass, which is still one of my favourites, to Tiefencastel. Then following the Hinter Rhein, over the Solis Brucke to Tamins where the 2 Rheins meet, then over the Oberalp Pass to Andermatt. The Gotthard Pass to Locarno, the Centovalli in Italy which I was to do by train a few years later to Domodossola where I had to change a tyre as it was getting bald. Finally the Simplon to Brig which we reached about 7 PM
