The second of the non driving days. I booked the hotel for the next stage of my journey. Not without difficulty though. My bank had stopped my card because I’d changed my account with them. An hour on the phone and my card was re-instated, and my stay in Prague booked. I caught the paddle Steamer Goethe and sat on the deck enjoying the view of all the castles that sit along this part of the Rhine.In the evening, germany were playing Argentina in the World Cup Quarter Finals, so the outside pavillion was packed. I managed to get something to eat though and watch the game. When Germany won (4-0) the whole town went mad and the celebrations lasted until the early hours.
