I went over the Black Forest High Road with my parents in 1963, and I wanted to do it again. I got it wrong the previous year, but I was determined to get it right this year. And I did. Down to the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen then to Davos and the Fluela (see video below), ending up at what was by now one of my favourite hotels.
