Day 6. Only a couple of passes today, including one which I’ve never been over, the Julier Pass (2284 M 7493 Ft). Drop down to Tiefencastel, then climb up to Lenzerheide (1473 M, 4833 Ft), drop back down to Chur and follow the Rhein for a while then head off for the Klausen Pass (1948 M, 6391ft) to Altdorf then to Luzern.

The Julier Pass at 2284 M 7493 Ft. The first time that I’d been over that pass as It’s normally a little way over for me to traverse it. From there, it was down to Tiefencastel and then to Chur via Lenzerheide, a place I’d stayed at in 1979 with Uncle Werner (Rudolph) and Tante Katie.
At the top of the Kla\usen Pass 1948 M, 6391ft. It had got so hot, that for a while, I had to have the roof up on the car, just to get some air flow through it, and cool me down. One of the few occqasions that the roof had gone up. You can see how much sun I’d caught. Unfortunately the backs of my arms were white. From there it was down to Altdorf and then round the Lake of Lucerne to my hotel for the next 2 nights and a well earned beer or 2 and something to eat.
