BONDALE - BUSTHAM STATION
Bustham is at the head of Bustdale. While there is not much industry there, agriculture supplies a lot of the goods traffic.   Passenger traffic is catered for by loco hauled stock (LNER V3 or GWR 14XX) which will also carry out any goods traffic.   The station was originally built as Berg on the Nordbad layout, but during the rebuild was slightly modified. The original idea was that this was to be the last station built,  but an impending visit by my great-Nephew, Nate, meant a quick session of track-laying, wiring and points motorised. He was quite happy playing with it, and it was left in the living room for when he came.
Some of my locos being put through their paces and the testing of the track layout at Bustham. As can be seen, the 3 way piont needed moving to the left, which was done a little later. The plastic buildings were Faller kits with the church of Saint Buster having a working bell. The sdignal box was fitted with an KED light and was a Metcalfe model free with a copy of Railway modeller.
The analogue DC control panel for Bustham. The points switches were made by Märklin. The left hand controller dates back to the mid 1960s and power came from an H & M transformer. The panel itself was desihned to be detached from the layout and was going to be mounted on the main layout when Busthm was installed. A 25 way D type connector was wired in accordingly. It is now temporarily surplus as the main layout is now DCC controlled, but the plan is to use the items on it for a small layout based on Trix Twin track.
