An easy run from Annemasse to Basel. An important question, do I stop off at Gruyere and buy some cheese? The afternoon will be spent buying Kirsch, wine, Saussicon Vaudois, and Lindt Kirsch Batons. An evening meal at the Brune Mutz and a Wartech beer to finish the day off. 202 miles of driving coming to a total so far of 2935 miles. Tomorrow is a non driving day.
While I covered the route nearly as planned, there were a couple of differences, shown in blue. The actual distance covered was 211 miles 2869 miles as the total. I got to Basel at 3.15 PM. Tried to ring home only to find that Mum had managed to knock the phone off the hook. I rang a neighbour who popped round and checked that everything was OK. Thanks Mark & Jo. It was then into town to do the first of the shopping, 12 bottles of wine. Back to the car to unload it, then into town for something to eat at the Brunen Mutz. This turned out to be Calf’s Liver in Madeira Sauce and Rösti washed down with Fechy. MMMMMMMMMM
